Lilium-SPOT2 add to the Trial Lending List of Nursing Care Robots.

2021/8/24

Lilium Otsuka is pleased to announce that Lilium-SPOT 2 has been included in a priority list of nursing care robots that will be used more extensively on a trial lending basis in nursing care facilities to evaluate the potential of these robots for long-term use.

A broad initiative, commissioned by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, is named the Project to Support the Practical Application of Welfare Equipment and Nursing Care Robots. The Association of Technical Aids (ATA) has created the list of nursing care robots:

The trial lending list is a part of the Platform Project for the Development, Demonstration, and Dissemination of Nursing Care Robots, commissioned by NTT DATA Institute of Management Consulting, Inc.

The project aims to promote the use of nursing care robots in an appropriate and timely manner by testing the robots at more nursing care facilities and examining their potential for long-term use.

Lilium Otsuka has been offering a short-term paid rental service as a package that includes round-trip shipping to nursing care facilities and individual users for the purpose of allowing them to try out Lilium-SPOT before purchase. Since July 2020 we have been offering this service as a package that includes round-trip shipping since July 2020.

This new trial rental service for nursing care robots will be provided free of charge to nursing care and similar facilities and is not offered to individuals at this time.

Please refer to the Japanese website for the specific flow of the lending service. This service is available only in Japan.
