Lilium to launch personal-use urine volume measurement device

In December, Lilium Otsuka Co., Ltd. will launch Lilium-SPOT®, a product that enables the level of urine accumulation in the bladder to be checked through simple operation by people who have trouble urinating, their families, and nursing staff.

Lilium-SPOT® allows users to easily check the level of urine accumulation in the bladder at any time by applying ultrasonic waves to the bladder position and then viewing the accumulation level on a scaled display. The product is also equipped with a voice guidance function to make it easier for first-time users to use, and will be sold through Otsuka's online store, so that anyone can easily purchase the product.

With the advent of a super-aged society, there is a growing need for incontinence care in nursing care facilities, and we aim to use our accumulated expertise in the development and manufacture of medical devices to develop new products that can be used not only by medical professionals, but also by people who have trouble urinating, their families, and nursing care staff.
